As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Kissing Preschool Goodbye

Sophia was happy on her last day of preschool and looking forward to her graduation ceremony that evening.  However, when I picked her up from school she was all tears and just wanted some "Mommy snuggles".  Change can be hard especially when saying goodbye to your preschool friends and teachers.  Sophia asked her Teacher for a play date this summer.  She enjoyed her time at Discovery Preschool.

Pre-School Graduation

Its the end of an era. Our youngest child, my baby, has graduated from preschool.  She is our little miracle and sang this song at graduation that had me in tears...

I have hands, I have hands
Watch me clap, watch me clap
Oh, what a miracle am I
I have feet, I have feet
Watch me stamp, watch me stamp
Oh, what a miracle am I

Chorus:
Oh, what a miracle! Oh, what a miracle!
Every little part of me
I'm something special, so very special
There's nobody quite like me

I have arms, I have arms
Watch me swing, watch me swing
Oh, what a miracle am I
I have legs, I have legs
They can bend and stretch,
they can bend and stretch
Oh, what a miracle am I

Repeat Chorus:

I have a spine, I have a spine
It can twist and bend, it can twist and bend
Oh, what a miracle am I
I have one foot, I have one foot
Watch me balance, watch me balance
Oh, what a miracle am I

Repeat Chorus

How lucky, proud and happy Will and I felt as we watched Sophia graduate.   We are proud of our big girl who will be off to Elementary School in the Fall.  Here are photos of the graduation  celebration....

It has been a miracle to have two healthy, beautiful daughters and experience being at home with them. I am thankful for our teachers and  Sophia's solid foundation in education.  I will miss special time with Sophia.  We have a lunch date everyday , she loves to snuggle for story time, play games and go on the swing set with me.  This preschool era is ending with a lump in my throat.  I will forever treasure the miracle of Sophia in my life and the quality time we were able to have together.  Happy Graduation Day Sophia!

Field Day Fun

Field Day was indoor this year due to weather.  Since its was on a Friday, Sophia was able to join me for the festivities.  Isabella was a proud big sister and included Sophia in some of the games. Sophia was the only sibling included and it made her feel special.  Plus, I think it helped Sophia get excited about attending the same school next year.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day is a special day for many. I woke up feeling thankful, not only to be a mother but also to have two wonderful daughters to raise.  I slept in (till 8:30am!) and then had a relaxing morning at home with the girls.  I loved sweet crafts the girls made plus the dose of extra snuggles.  When I left the house that day to head to work my heart was full of love and joy.  I am thankful to be a mother no matter where I spent my day.  That evening Will cooked a delicious dinner.  As we sat around the table talking about our day I was well aware that I am blessed to have them in my lives and with me on that special day.

Momma's First Field Trip

As a little girl I looked forward to being a mother.  One thing I was excited about was being involved in my kids school and going on field trips.  This year I went on my first field trip as a Mom. It was a treat to be there not only for me but Isabella too.  I was lucky that I had the day free to attend AND my name was selected to ride on the bus as a chaperon.  We went to the Richmond zoo and explored the grounds.  We wrapped up with a picnic lunch before heading back to school.  The weather was perfect and it was a great day for all.

After the field trip Isabella left school early and we went to pick up Sophia.  We played outside all afternoon.  It was such a nice day that we did not want to go inside.  The girls were little monkeys on the swing set.  Sophia wanted some action with the camera and took a few great shots too!

I went to bed that evening with a heart full of joy! The days are long, the years are short and I try to enjoy every minute with my family.

Muffins with Mom

Sophia's preschool had Muffins with Mom last month.  Sophia was very excited to have me in her class and see the goodies she created just for me.  We enjoyed juice, mini chocolate chip muffins and snuggles.  Sophia made a necklace for me while I was there which I proudly wore that day. I also loved the cute flower pot and card that Sophia made.  It was a special morning and filled my heart with love.

Gayton Carnival

Our gators - Isabella and Sophia

The Gayton Elementary school carnival came at the perfect time to get Sophia excited about her new school. Sophia and I arrived early to set up and also to make cotton candy.  It was a fun evening with face painting, hair painting, moon bounce, cake walk, games, food and my favorite the photo booth!  Both girls had friends of their own there and I enjoyed the sweet smell of cotton candy.
