As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Operation Big Sister- Final Update

Our sweet Sophia will be here in just a little over 2 days! We are excited and ready to meet our newest addition. This pregnancy has flown by, which I am sure has something to do with the demands of keeping up with a toddler and working full time. It seems like just yesterday I was struggling to have one baby and here I am about to have another! I feel very blessed.
Here are a few things I have knitted for Sophia.
Bitty Baby Booties
White Popcorn Blanket
And a final shot taken at 38 weeks and 3 days

Making faces

Halloween is around the corner so we thought it would be fun to bust out the face paints. Isabella had a blast painting "Sophia" (a.k.a. my tummy). Then she painted herself. Will even joined in the on the fun!
Future make-up artist
The chemicals in the makeup are starting to get to Will...hehe
It was so fun that Isabella did not want to stop... hence the sad face
Its hard to believe in 9 days (or less) Sophia will be here. We are very excited and cant wait to welcome her into our family.

Fall Harvest

Fall Harvest is here! Friday night we enjoyed a fall celebration at Isabella's school. Here are a few pics below of the festivities....
Isabella enjoyed the icing more than the cookie My little golfer , she LOVED this game
They had pumpkin decorating as well but Isabella was not too interested. However, she did get a kick out of the pumpkin balloon!
It was a rainy weekend which was perfect time to get the nursery cleaned out. That of coarse involved moving and relocating lots of furniture. Will pulled all the baby stuff out of the attic and I enjoyed looking through all of Isabella's old clothes. Its amazing how tiny the newborn stuff is. Isabella enjoyed putting her stuffed animals in her old baby swing. We still have some work to do on the nursery but we were able to get a lot done this weekend. Thank goodness since we don't have much time left till Sophia's arrival....a little over 2 weeks to go!!
Ready to go...

Mother Nature

Finally the germs have left the Schaefer household! We all have been sick and let me tell you being sick in the 9th month of pregnancy is horrible! Ugh. After being sick for over a week I was so happy to be well enough to enjoy this fall weather courtesy of Mother Nature. Clearly, Isabella enjoys her time outside as well. Will and Isabella planted a tree that was on our porch. Bell had a blast with the dirt.

My 2 gardeners hard at work
In this shot below, the tree was planted but Miss. Bellerina has 2 fist fulls of dirt and is looking for something else to plant.
In fact she loved playing in the dirt so much she did not want to stop.

Sunday my family was in town for a short visit. We had a blast and all enjoyed Isabella's newest tricks. She can say a few sentences now such as " I can do it" , "Ready set go...", "I like it" and "Pick me up". We enjoy Isabella's new found communication skills.

In a few days Isabella will be 20 months old! Our little petunia is blossoming before our eyes.
