Ballerina Beauties

Seeing little girls dressed up to dance is adorable. Its even better when its parent obersavtion week at the dance studio. I loved being able to sit in on both of my daughters classes and was amazed at how much they have learned. I particularly enjoyed seeing the routines for the upcoming recital.

Isabella's class will be doing a tap number to "Don't Worry, Be Happy". Its a fun and peppy song to dance too- perfect for this age group. Isabella's favorite part of dance class is being able to see her best friend Abby each week. My favorite part is seeing my children have fun, make memories and learn new skills.

Isabella has school during Sophia's dance class and was bummed to miss observing her little sisters class. However, I got plenty of photos and video to make up for it!

Sophia enjoys taking ballet. She enjoys her classmates, teacher and wearing tu-tus! I was able to see part of Sophia's dance for the upcoming recital. She is dancing ballet to "Earth Angel". It is a precious dance and exudes cuteness!!!

March Madness

March Madness...the weather for one has been swinging between spring and winter. It is odd to enjoy shorts one day and snow pants the next. Richmond weather keeps things interesting.

Would you believe that two weeks ago it was 74 degrees and we were in shorts? Thanks to the impending snow forecast our cookie both was sold out in 2 hours! The following day we were bundled up inside enjoying a windy 19 degree snow day. On our first snow day, the girls enjoyed making blueberry muffins. I think licking the batter at the end was their favorite part. Then we hit the hills for sledding fun! It was a treat sled on a huge hill with friends. Sophia called it "the mountain! March madness weather is in full effect. Though I am hoping we have seen the last of winter, here are a few photos of the March snow.

February Fun

February is over but there are more photos to share. Last month we made many wonderful memories. Some of my favorites were watching Will sled with the girls & Will and the girls blowing out birthday candles. Will celebrated his birthday at the end of the month and the girls could not wait for Daddy to open the cards they had made. They kept trying to give Daddy the cards early! Happy Birthday darling!!! xoxo

Not only did we celebrate two birthdays in our house last month but we also have two little princesses who love to play dress up. As you can see below Sophia loves to wear her Cinderella dress and glass slippers! She loves to be a princess!

Last month Isabella and I attended World Thinking Day with our Daisy Girl Scout Troop. Our country was Switzerland. Isabella enjoyed talking to the other girl scouts about "the land of mountains and chocolate". There were 100 girls in attendance at the event. The scouts were able to tour other tables/troops country and learn about that area. The girls sampled food, made crafts, exchanged swaps and learned facts about the countries in representation. It was a fun learning experience.

Time sure does fly by and we are thankful for our time together.

Calling all Kittens

We have a birthday to announce
Get ready to purr, meow and pounce!
We will play lots of games and snack on kitty chow,
Isabella's kitten party will be the cats MEOW!

Isabella picked the purrfect theme for her 6th birthday. We invited all the girls from her class plus two dear old friends. Upon arrival the girls received their kitty ears and tail. I made the ears out of stiff felt, hot glue and headbands. The kitty tails were cut feather boas attached with a safety pin. Their look was completed with cat makeup. Once our guests had transformed into cats the party was a hoot! The girls decorated tails to play pin the tail on the cat. Next, the kids enjoyed an obstacle course on all fours! After that the cats, I mean guests, went hunting for their baby kitten and were able to take one home. We also had a meowing contest, a pinyata, and our cat Lucy made a guest appearance. Isabella requested chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing and had everyone help blow out her candle. It was a hectic party for Will and I but super fun for the kids. We are so glad everyone had fun. It's was a PURRRfect party!
