As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Land of the Dragons

Isabella loves Busch Gardens and I love to see that huge smile on her face when she is having fun!  There is so much for her to do at the park.  On this visit we stopped by the stables to check out a few animals.  Isabella liked seeing the animals:  Clydesdale horses, an owl, an eagle, a sweet border collie and a couple wolves.  We even found a little horse ride that was perfect for Isabella and her friend Bennett.

After the visit to the stable we headed to the Land of the Dragons.  The big kids had a blast in the water play area and the little ones were able to get a little cat nap.

The weather was perfect on Friday and it was refreshing to be outdoors in temps below 90 degrees (it was 84 on Friday).  We all had a nice time.

Sandcation

Isabella has been asking all summer to go to the beach.  In fact, she remarked frequently that she wanted to wear her tu-tu on the beach.  Bell considers the frill on her bathing  suit to be a tu-tu.  Anyway, since summer is quickly drawing to a close we decided to make a quick trip to Virginia Beach.  The weather was perfect and the water was refreshing.  Isabella was so excited to be at the beach.  She loved playing in the water and sand.  She was very sandy when the day was done.

Sophia enjoyed her 1st trip to the beach with lots of smiles.  She giggled when a little wave came up to her feet.  Of coarse, she tried to dine on a bit of sand too.  Sophia, being an easy going baby, had no problem taking a nap on the beach.  Sophia enjoyed her own little pool on the beach and lots of snuggle time.

Will & I had a great time too.  We enjoyed seeing the excitement on our girls faces. It was a long day but a fun one!

Rain Rain go away...

Rain Rain Go Away
Isabella & Sophia want to come out to play!
Its a wet, rainy day and the girls needed to get out of the house and move around a bit.  We met our playgroup at the mall and the kids had fun together.  Sophia even worked on creeping around.  Isabella and her friends Madelyn, Liam and Bennett are all trying to fit on top of the turtle.

Not sure how this happened but it is funny!  Isabella and Bennett remind me of the spaghetti scene from Lady and the Tramp.

Thing 1 & Thing 2

Our bedtime routine is fun x2!  The girls enjoy splashing in the bath together and winding down with story time.  The girls light up for each other and it is so cute to see them interact.  Sometimes Isabella prefers to read Sophia a book at bedtime.  Of coarse, her baby sister loves it!

Bird Guide

We have a lot of birds that visit our backyard.  Mostly,  Cardinals, Finch and Hummingbirds.  But every once in a while we see a bird we can not identify.  Sophia and Isabella were helping their Daddy look through the bird books.  Not only was it was educational for Isabella but Sophia enjoyed playing peak-a-boo with the guides.
Sunday my family came to visit.  Isabella enjoyed lots of books with Pop-pop & G-mom.  Visits always go by so fast and everyone has fun catching up.  They always make us feel special.

Sophia is growing up before my eyes.  Her hair is also getting long and its finally able to comfortably hold a hair bow!  We have also been on a search for a bottle that Sophia would do well on.  The winner is the Medela bottles that came with my pump. She took 2 oz out of a bottle this past weekend and that a record for our sweet FiFi.

CMOR

Whats CMOR?  Its the Children's Museum of Richmond and we went there last week with friends from playgroup.  Isabella had a blast and was all over the place.  Its hard to say which activity was her favorite.  She loved the train, sand box, water table and art & crafts room.  The trip ended with a splash when Isabella and Kingston splashed each other with paint in the face.   I guess you could say these kids put a splash in their art work.  Anyway, it was a great way to spend a hot and humid day.

Oh and a humorous story about our trip...  as you can imagine Isabella enjoyed getting sandy in the play area however she was so into it that she had sand everywhere.  So after cleaning her off (where I could see the sand) we headed over to the water table.  Wouldn't you know it that I look over and see Isabella with her dress in the air and her diaper almost off.  Clearly, Isabella had a stash of sand in her diaper and wanted it off.  Good thing we were close to the bathroom to keep things covered up.  My girls keep me on my toes!

The Schaefer Sisters

Isabella and Sophia have fun with each other. Isabella enjoys feeding Sophia and sometimes she likes to sample it too!

In the morning the girls play together in our bedroom

so sweet to see them together
Isabella & Sophia enjoy spending time in the playroom together. Even if they are not playing together the girls like to be in the same room.

Isabella also like to play dress up with Sophie.
and Sophia LOVES every second with her big sister.
