As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Fall is here

Fall is officially here! The perfect time to enjoy warm apple pie and time with family.

A little bit of fall decor

We enjoyed a nice low key relaxing weekend at home which is just what Will and I needed. Saturday night we went out to dinner for another birthday celebration for mwa. As most of you might know, we don't go out to eat very often. Well, we learned a few things we intend to remember for future outings.

  1. Always bring the diaper bag even if its just in the car.
  2. Never trust a toddler with a Styrofoam cup even with a lid...they can be broken very easily as we experienced 2 times.
  3. Always pack a spare outfit.
  4. Pack something to entertain children while at the restaurant.

I thought we were prepared with a bib, spare diaper and wipes...nope! Poor Isabella used her kung fu grip to pierce her Styrofoam juice cup (not once but twice) and the poor dear was soaked. Dinner was still great and Isabella was a trooper. Now we will be more prepared in the future.

Birthday Getaway

We spent my birthday at Virginia Beach. It was so nice to get away for one night. This was our 1st family vacation albeit a short one. 1st impression of the beach
and she is off....
Weeee, this is fun!

Isabella took no time at all to warm up to the beach. Daddy took her in the ocean to enjoy the brisk water - she had no fear. Isabella enjoyed digging in the sand, chasing birds and running around in the water. Of course, there were a few dogs that were the highlight of her day.

Day 2
The weather on the 2nd day was a perfect sunny 80 degrees. Isabella loved rolling around in the sand! She was also quite a ham posing for the camera.

Having the memories of the beach trip was the best gift I could receive!! We all had a wonderful time and felt rejuvenated after being away.

Happy Birthday to me!

I had a wonderful birthday this year! Friday night I came home to a house full of flowers and my darling husband cooking a gourmet meal for us. Dinner was fabulous and dessert was divine. We celebrated with a bottle of sparkling grape juice! Isabella saw the box with the cake replied "cucake" - meaning cup cake. Close enough. Anyway, she did not want to eat dinner after that. She pushed her plate away and when I asked Isabella is she was all done she replied "cucake". Chef SchaeferFillet, Bernaise, potatoes with chives and fresh veggies!!

YAY!!

As requested, we spent the weekend at the beach!! Stay tuned for photos from our beach trip. There are a ton of photos to sort through!!

19 months!

Isabella is 19 months old!!! Let me tell you, she is funny! Always keeping us entertained. She still adores her baby dolls and loves going outside for walks. Sometimes we have to refrain from using those 2 words otherwise she will be at the door eager to go for a ride. She adores dogs and gets giddy when they are near. The photo below shows her reaction to the neighbors dog. Lovin' in!

Today was also Grandparents day! Isabella would like to wish all of her grandparents a wonderful day. She is very lucky to have you all in her life.

Operation Big Sister

Operation Big Sister at 31 weeks This pregnancy is flying by, probably since I am very busy chasing a toddler around. Overall, I am feeling pretty good. Just getting more excited by the day. We cant wait to meet our next daughter, who will be named Sophia Austin. Her initials will be S.A.S. and if she is anything like her big sister we are sure she will be sassy!! As most of you know, I love to knit in my spare time. Thus, I have knitted a few things for Sophia. Each stitch was made with love.
A sweater for FiFi (Isabella's name for her sister)

This past week I got a baby gym for Sophia but our big girl Isabella had a blast playing in it!

We are all very excited!!!

Say Cheese

3 day weekends rock!!! It was so nice to spend some time at home working on a few projects. But more importantly, we enjoyed lots of family time. It was a great low key holiday weekend. The highlight of our weekend was joining the Timmerman's at their pool. So fun!

Bell is waiting for the fun to begin...
Aw James gave Isabella a hug.
2 giggling girls...Isabella & Molly

Here is a video of the trio sharing a snack. They were all excited to "cheese" for the camera.
