As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Pumpkin Patch

Fall is in the air!  It is the perfect time to enjoy pumpkins, hayrides and pumpkin spice lattes!  We enjoyed a family trip to Chesterfield Berry farm to hunt for the perfect pumpkin.  The girls not only enjoyed the pumpkin patch but also loved the moon bounce, pig races, wagon ride, hayride, corn pit and mountain of hay. A picnic lunch outside rounded out the end of a fun morning at the farm.  Here are a few photos from our fall festivities....

Sweet Sisters

The love that sisters share is like nothing else in this world.  Isabella and Sophia are blessed with a beautiful friendship.  It warms my heart to see how much joy they share between each other.  When our dance studio hosted  "bring your friend to class week" Sophia chose her big sister!

Off to dance class together!
Sisterly love!
The girls love to snuggle with each other all the time...even in church!  We recently had a church picnic which was a lot of fun.  I enjoyed helping with the bake off by tasting lots of desserts and also crafting up a few awards.  The girls loved the moon bounce, petting zoo, carnival games and live bluegrass band.  It is wonderful to have made friends at our church.  Plus, I enjoyed making the picnic a family occasion especially since it was our 11 year anniversary!

On a different, Sophia loves to help me fold warm washcloths.  She loves to play Mommy and just like me she loves the Wizard of Oz!  Can you guess what Sophia will be for Halloween??

Honorable Mention

Isabella's elementary school hosts an annual art program.  The theme this year was " Believe, Dream, Inspire".  This project required a title and an artist statement.  Isabella chose water colors for her entry in the visual arts category.  All of the participants received a certificate of participation.  However, Isabella also got a ribbon for honorable mention!  Great job Bella.  We are proud of you!

"Rainbow Raindrop Flowers in a Bush"
Isabella's piece was titled "Rainbow Raindrop Flowers in a Bush".
Artist statement.... "A fairy saw a beautiful bush and decided not to pick the flowers since they were so beautiful.  The flowers were made from shiny sparkly seeds that turned into beautiful roses.  The fairy showed all the people the flowers to smell and asked them not to pick them so everyone could enjoy them."

I am so proud of my little artist!

Trike-A-Thon

Our preschool has a Trike-A-Thon every fall.  Ages 3 and up can participate and Sophia was excited this year she could do it!  Sweet Sophie maintained a safe yet fun speed and followed the street signs.  All the kids loved the blue snow cone treat at the end! Seeing Sophia ride on her trike with friends was a treat to me!

Birthday Divas

September flew by and was packed full of fun! I enjoyed a wonderful girls weekend away in Northern VA.  We ran the super hilly DIVA half marathon followed by an evening concert at the vineyard with a bit too much wine!   It was rejuvenating to get a few days of girl time away.  Thank you to my wonderful husband for making it happen.    Will also made my birthday special with a delicious cake and a 3-D screening of my favorite movie of all time...The Wizard of Oz!  The girls absolutely loved the movie just like their Momma!  In fact, Sophia is sitting in my lap right now wearing her very own ruby slippers and watching the movie.
