As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

My blessings

Isabella & Sophia have so much fun together!  Now that Sophia is walking the dynamics have changed a bit.  The girls have a playmate in each other that makes the littlest things seem really fun.  At meal time the girls sit opposite each other at the table and love giggling back and forth.  If we offer Isabella ketchup (which she loves!) Sophia makes it clear she wants the same on her plate.

The girls are learning new things everyday.  Isabella enjoys saying grace at dinner while holding hands.  Isabella is officially potty trained and we are so proud of her accomplishment.  Isabella loves taking dance/gymnastics and looks forward to going to pre-school in the fall. Isabella, or Bella, as she calls herself loves to color.  Her artwork has become more realistic and she loves to draw happy faces and/or spiders.  Isabella talks like an adult so its always interesting to hear what she has to say.

Sophia is picking up new skills up everyday. She knows where a few body parts are (eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hands and feet).  Sophia uses a fork and spoon and eats like a champ.  She is not a picky eater.   These days she loves whatever her sister is eating.  Sophia enjoys playing with baby dolls,  pushing a stroller, peak-a-boo and laughing. Fifi is our little snuggle bug and is such a sweetheart.

I count my blessings everyday and Isabella, Sophia & Will are at the top of the list!

We have a walker!!!

Its been a while since I have updated the blog and we have been busy.  To start off with Sophia had croup and felt awful for a few days.  As Sophia was recovering from croup she started walking!  She had taken 1- 2 steps before but that was it.  As of last Monday, Sophia was walking everywhere! She still scoots and crawls thus she has lots of options to get around.

Last week was also St. Patties day and the girls both enjoyed corned beef and Soda bread.  They are part Irish so I am glad they enjoyed their heritage for a day.  I know I enjoyed it!!

This past weekend was perfect weather for playing outdoors.  Will & Isabella spent time sprucing up the garden.  Isabella really enjoyed playing in the dirt with Daddy.  Now that Sophia is walking she had a blast exploring the yard.  Sophia enjoyed having greater mobility and thus took a few spills.  Sadly, one resulted in a bloody lip from falling into the coffee table.
Smiling despite the boo-boo

Yay, garden time!

Sister Time

The past few days have been a blast!  My sister Megan came to visit and we spent lots of time catching up.  The girls enjoyed spending time with their Aunt.   Every morning when Isabella woke up she would ask "Where is Megan?"  Since my kids wake up at the crack of dawn, Megan was still getting her beauty rest.

We had a busy few days running around town from music class to the Children's Museum.  Not only did the kids have a blast, but I did too.  Another delight was teaching my sister how to knit and she picked it up like a natural.

At one point Megan explained to Isabella that I was her sister just like Sophia was her sister to which Isabella exclaimed "  She is not a sister, she is a Mommy".

Bikes & Birthdays

Over the weekend Meredith and Sean came to visit to celebrate the February birthdays (Will & Isabella).  It was a treat to be able to catch up with them.  Isabella was super excited for the visit and wanted to show Meredith & Sean her room.  In fact, Isabella was so excited that she could not relax to take a nap.  My girls love their Aunt Meredith & Sean and did not want to see them go.
That's how they roll!

16 months

Little Miss Sophia is 16 months old.  She now has 15 teeth and a few new words which are ball & Baby (she says BehBeh).  Sophie can get into a standing position on her own without pulling her self up.  She cruises on everything, even our walls!  She loves to walk holding onto a stroller, push toy or our hands.  We are anticipating her toddling around soon.  She adores Isabella and calls her Bella.  No one can make her giggle like her big sister.  Sophia is a ball of sunshine!
Isabella is growing leaps and bounds too.  She talks non-stop and I never know just what she might say.  Thus, she says some funny things.  This morning she asked for candy for breakfast.  After I explained it was not a nutritious meal she decided apple pie would be a good breakfast.  I explained it was not an option and Isabella remarked " That's okay..Mommy go to the store and get me apple pie!"  Silly girl.  Isabella keeps us busy and entertained.
My girls make my heart happy!

River City Fitness

Isabella was SO EXCITED to start her 1st class of Dance & Gymnastics.  As you can see by the photo below she was grinning ear to ear.  In fact, Isabella & her friend Madelyn were so excited that it was hard to keep them still to take a photo, thus most are a little blurry.  Overall, Isabella had fun.  The Dance portion of the class was first.  Isabella was not focused and wanted to come out of class to eat (she actually walked out of class three times).  Her favorite portion of Dance was the the last 5 minutes when they play music and let them run around and dance.  Next was gymnastics which grasped Isabella's attention.   Isabella is strong and flexible so she had a good time playing around on the equipment.  Isabella had so much fun that she asked " Mom, Can we go back to dance class PLEASE!"  Could you say No to that sweet smile?
