As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Rain Rain Go Away, We Are Here To Play!

The perfect way to kick off summer fun was to take a trip to Busch Garden with Grandmom and PopPop.  It poured rain and was very cold...not what had been in the forecast.  Thankfully G-mom & PopPop made sure we had dry clothes and warm drinks.  After warming up and drying off the sun finally came out!  It ended up being a great day at the park.  Isabella's favorite ride of the day was the log flume which she went on three times in a row!  Sophia's favorite ride of the day was a nice train ride around the park.  I enjoyed spending time with family and seeing my girls smile.

Schools Out for Summer

The end of the school year has arrived.  Our preschool had a picnic on the last week of school and the kids enjoyed having popsicles with the whole preschool.  On the final day of  school I took a few photos which shows how much the girls have grown since the first day of school (scroll back to September 2012 for comparison).  After school ended there was a cute graduation ceremony for the Pre-K class.  As Isabella walked across the stage they announced what she wanted to be when she grows up.  Her choice was a nurse (though she typically says an artist or co-pilot).  The ceremony was sweet and brought tears to my eyes.  I enjoyed the performance of songs, the video slide show and the cute graduation caps.  Isabella is looking forward to being a Gayton "Gaytor" and riding the school bus to Kindergarten!

The girls are sad that school is over as they will miss their friends and teachers. My girls are growing up so fast and I am very proud to be their Momma!

Fairies, Muffins & Lemonade oh my!

FAIRY GARDEN
Our garden is blooming now.  We have sprouted cucumbers, little finger carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries and few herbs.  This year the girls have their very own plot that we decided to make into a fairy garden. The girls planted Queen Sophia Marigolds, Forget-Me-Nots and a few sunflowers in their garden.  I also think there is a plastic fairy somewhere under the soil too! As of today we have 21 little sprouts popping up in the fairy garden. Ah, this is the start to a great summer!

MUFFINS WITH MOM
Our preschool hosts a breakfast for Moms in May.  Since my daughters class breakfast were on the same day I had intended to split my time between the two classrooms.  However, my daughters felt left out without their Mom at the class event.  Thus, we all stayed together.  First we went to Sophia's class where Sophia sat right down in her seat with all the goodies that she made for me! Next we headed to Isabella's class where I found a few cute things from Bella.  It was so sweet to have a special Mommy-daughter breakfast.  Muffins with Mom was the perfect way to celebrate Mothers Day.

LEMONADE STAND
Isabella had her very first lemonade stand.  She made the signs and was excited to have customers visit her stand.  Isabella is quite a sales person, as seen in her willingness to approach every passerby for a cookie or a drink.  She even said "You had a long walk and need a lemonade to cool you off!".  The highlight of her morning was a surprise visit from her "sister friend" Abby.
