As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Busy Chick-a-dee

Fall is officially here and Isabella is now 7 1/2 months old. Time sure if flying by. Isabella is into everything and likes to try to pull over plants, find tiny crumbs on the floor and be the center of attention. There is not a minutes rest when she is awake. But she is also a dear sweetheart who makes the most adorable noises as if she were a beautiful bird singing. Bell has starting reaching to us to be picked up and also likes to crawl to my lap when we are playing. She warms my heart. I love everything about her.

Party Time!

Nap Time

Isabella is not the biggest fan of naps as you can see from her expressions.Come on Mom, just pick me up....
Okay fine. I guess it is nap time.
I am so tired I can not even keep my eyes open.
She was passed out within 30 seconds of the last photo. She fights sleep to no end. But a girl does need her beauty rest.

33 is the new 23

Happy Birthday to me....I cant believe I am 33! To celebrate my birthday we went out to the Cheesecake factory with our friends Thomas and Sarah.

Having Isabella with me was my birthday wish!!! This family picture makes me reflect on the past year. Exactly 1 year ago we were just seeing our "baby" on a sonogram. Little did we know how our lives were going to change. This has been the best year of my life. I look forward to many more to come.

September Birthday Buddies

Beautiful flower from my darling husband

We spent the remainder of the weekend hanging around the house. We were all feeling a little under the weather so a relaxing weekend was just what the Doctor ordered.

Lucky Number 7

Isabella is 7 months old!

To mark the occasion I set up a little photo shoot in our back yard. I love the classic dress & hair bow she has on in the pictures which were a shower gift from MaryAnn.

Now onto playtime!!

Isabella loves her books. These days she likes any with texture such as the fuzzy duck below.

Mommy, its so fun to empty the box!

Strong legs!

Bell's bounce

Here is a video of our little 7 month old bouncing for joy. From this video you can see how happy she is despite having another dreaded ear infection. This time its in both ears. Poor dear. I have a feeling tubes will be in her future. Speaking of being sick, Will has strep and is feeling horrible. I have homemade chicken noodle soup on the burner now and cookies in the oven. Hopefully he can eat some tomorrow. I also made a ton of baby food this weekend for Isabella: Peaches with oatmeal, pumpkin, butternut squash and bananas. I feel like Martha Stewart with all this homemade goodness. :)

Stay tuned for Isabella's 7 month photo shoot....

Advanced

Here is a video taken a few days ago showing how easily Isabella can get around. She is always on the go. Bell is also pulling herself up so needless to say she is being moved up to a new classroom at school (day care). She will be a 5 months younger than the 2nd youngest in the room. I hope she does not get picked on since she is so small. However, I am sure she will be very stimulated by the olders kids in the room. We are very proud of our advanced baby.

Sippy Cup Time!

Isabella used a sippy cup for the first time tonight during dinner. She enjoyed chewing on the tip more than drinking from the spout. I enjoy feeding time and Isabella eats like a baby bird....meaning she opens her mouth wide for Mamma to feed her. So cute.

Open wide...rice cereal time
Yummmmmmm

Homemade butternut squash....yum, but I am starting to get sleepy.
All this eating is a lot of work.

I am starting to get the hang of this sippy cup thing
Sweet dream after a sweet meal

I was very surprised Isabella actually feel asleep between spoonfuls. It must have been all the fun she had today. :)
We had a nice weekend. Saturday was rainy so I was not able to do the 5K but we did have a play date at the mall with the Timmerman's and the Atkinson's. Isabella was very content during all the errands we ran this weekend. She enjoys her new book " Pat the Bunny" and likes to rub the pages and even giggles on the peak-a boo page. She is crawling like a champ and keeping us very busy. The highlight of our day is spending time with Isabella.
We also enjoy spending time at home. I walk Isabella around the yard and she enjoys looking at the big trees. Here is a pretty picture of our rose bush.

Updates

Isabella is enjoying being able to get around on her own.
Our little Crawly Crawlerson.
She even enjoyed some dress up time but was ready for bed when Mommy got the camera out.

This stacking ring is one of her favorite toys these days.

She continues to eagerly explore the world of solids and has now moved up to 2 meals a day. The rubber spoon is great for her teeth to naw on......and her 3rd tooth is on its way in!

Just adorable!
Lovin' bath time

We have been busy the past few weeks. We enjoyed a neighborhood party and met lots of children for Isabella to play with. Lots of outings in the stroller as Mommy trains to run a 5k. Even a trip to the hospital for a very high fever and wheezing. Isabella was pretty sick and it was hard to see her feeling so bad. We gave her lots of snuggle time but she seemed to sleep it off. Her Grammy (my Mom) even spent a day taking care of Isabella when she was sick. Isabella is very content and has lots of smiles to share. She is our sweetheart.
