As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Twins & the Trike

People occasionally ask me if my daughters are twins.  It could be because they are dressed alike?  Either way, Isabella likes to say yes, they are twins.    Not only do they actually enjoy dressing alike, but they also want to play with the same toys!

Clearly, one trike between two sisters is not enough.  Can guess who is getting her very own bike for her birthday?

Apple Picking

Last weekend we joined friends at Carter Mountain for apple picking.  The view from the orchard was beautiful and the weather was perfect!  Not only did we pick apples but we also enjoyed fresh apple cider doughnuts, a hayride and a picnic lunch.  Sophia really enjoyed being hoisted up to pick apples whereas Isabella preferred checking out the ones on ground level.  The apples were crisp and delicious.  Since our trip we have enjoyed the fresh picked apples, warm honey apples and apple crisp. Isabella took one bite of my apple crisp and exclaimed " You are the best Mom ever!"  I  guess, she liked the dessert, huh.

Yum!  I like it!

The Tooth Fairy

During a quick to to Maryland, Isabella thought it would be a good idea to jump on her grandparents bed!  Clearly, she thought she was a monkey. Sadly, she whacked her mouth on the headboard resulting in a bloody lip and dislodged tooth.  It was jammed back towards the roof of her mouth.  Isabella was terrified and Will & I felt awful for her.  Thankfully, a dentist lives on my in-laws street and made a house call.  The dentist was great and Isabella was extremely brave. Sadly, the tooth could not be moved into place and it broke during the adjustment.  Isabella was extremely brave.

The following morning Isabella woke up confused since her tooth did not grow back overnight as she thought it would.  The tooth fairy not only left Isabella 3 gold coins in exchange for her tooth but she also left behind some feathers and fairy dust (glitter).  The tooth fairy even left a note and a special certificate.

Isabella's mouth is healing fast though there is still a bit of root left behind.  So get used to this cute smile because she wont have a tooth there for at least 3+ years!
Showing off her new smile.  Still cute as ever!

Certificate from the Tooth Fairy
Let this be a lesson to everyone....no more monkeys jumping on the bed!

23 months

Our Little FiFi is already 23 months!  She is such a toddler.  Her vocabulary is rapidly expanding these days (partly due to Isabella being in school and part due to normal development).  I love to hear her sweet little voice say " I love you".  This morning Sophia greeted Isabella saying "Hi Bella!".  Sophia is into everything her big sister likes and dislikes.  Thus, Sophia does not like "Bugies" (bugs) or "tunder" (thunder).  Her favorite activities are coloring, dress up, baby dolls and Dora.  She loves to wear sunglasses and even wore them at nap time yesterday.  Sophia is a great sleeper and goes to bed with ease.    It is adorable to see her asleep snuggling with her baby.  Sophia is such a sweet and dear child.  She is a dream come true!
This is what a 23 month old fairy princess look like!
