As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Virginia State Capitol

We live near Virginia's historic Capitol Square which is in downtown Richmond.  During PopPops last visit, we went to see the Virginia's State Capitol building.  The classical style building was designed by good ol' Thomas Jefferson and has been in use since 1788.

Cousins at BG

The perfect way to end a trip is to head to another one!  After leaving North Carolina we headed to Williamsburg, VA for two days.  The girls were super-de-dooper excited to spend time with Samantha and Chase.  We spent Monday at Busch Gardens and I was spoiled by being given the chance to go on all the roller coasters in the park (Thank you G-mom, PopPop & Melissa).  Sophia had fun going on rides with Chase and Isabella, as always, enjoyed the log flume with PopPop.  Our trip was cut short the 2nd day since Isabella had a tummy bug.  Despite the germs it was a wonderful getaway full of great memories.

A Wedding & A Tooth

This has been a year full of travel plus family fun and we are extremely grateful for those who have made that possible.  My cousin Rob was married on August 10th in North Carolina and we were thrilled to be there for his special day.  It was wonderful to see Rob & Regan celebrate their marriage and also to catch up with extended family.  The reception was highlighted with Isabella singing karaoke and the Groom pulling her loose tooth out (though not at the same time!).  The tooth fairy even found us at the hotel to collect Isabella's 3rd tooth! The weekend flew by too fast but we enjoyed it!

Special Daddy Time

During my trip to Florida I missed Will and the girls but was happy to see that they had a fun time together. The girls enjoyed bike rides, a trip to the park and lots of special daddy time.  I am one lucky Momma because while I was away I received the following the photos....
"EYE"
"LOVE"
"YOU"

Isabella is excited about going to Kindergarten
Sophia is excited to be a preschool princess
The girls are lucky to have a wonderful daddy and I am blessed to have a loving and supportive husband. We are all very lucky to have wonderful families too!

VBS & FL

Isabella has been eagerly waiting for Bible School to start since the first day of summer. Sophia was also excited to attend VBS with her big sister!  After having a fun week at vacation bible school, the girls enjoyed special daddy time during my quick trip out of town.  I went to Florida for my sister Megan's bridal shower.  It was wonderful to see family whom I have not seen in over a decade.  I enjoyed the chance to reconnect and catch up with everyone.  Plus, I always enjoy special sister time with Megan.
