As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Celebrate Good Times C'mon

Things have been pretty busy in the Schaefer household as Isabella is always on the go. However, I will make up for lost time in this post to keep everyone in the loop. Here goes...
St. Pattys day Isabella had corned beef , irish soda bread and a shamrock headband to celebrate her Irish heritage. I think she had more fun taking the headband off, then on, then off...Last weekend Meredith came to visit. Isabella rocked a special hair style just for her Aunt. Isabella enjoys her new found skill of walking. She is a proud little peach.
This weekend we made a day trip to Maryland to celebrate my Mom & nephew Kelty's birthday. We ended up at the germ infested Chuck E Cheese. Since we were in Annapolis my friend Melanie was able to meet up with us. That was a huge treat since we have not seen each other since November 2007. Here a few photos to enjoy:

Isabella was mesmerized by the large puppets.
Whee, this is fun!

Portrait

For Will's birthday I commissioned a fantastic portrait artist Raissa http://www.myportraitsite.com/ to draw a picture from a photo of Isabella. This photo was taken in November of 2008 on Isabella's 1st Thanksgiving. We are so happy with the results and the service. I highly recommend getting drawings of your little ones done through her. Raissa was fantastic to work with and took care with each little detail. I know this piece of art will be treasured for a lifetime. The artist did a wonderful job capturing a special moment in time. I am very thankful for this drawing.

And she's off...

Rain rain go away Isabella wants to go outside to play. We spent a rainy yet relaxing weekend indoors and enjoyed each little step Isabella took. About 6 weeks ago she took her 1st steps but not until recently did she piece it all together. Bell is very cautious with each step as she surveys the area around her. She still prefers crawling as her efficient mode of transportation. See below for a video of our musician/walker.

So cute!

Fun Fun fun

The weather this week has been great! We started off the week with a beautiful snow and ended the week with glorious temps in the 80's! Thus, we have been spending lots of time enjoying the outdoors. Here are a few more photos of Isabella in the snow. She was not a big fan of it (except eating it!) so I put her in a homemade sled (a.k.a laundry basket) and pulled her around the yard. She enjoyed checking everything out.

Friday night we went to the Children Museum of Richmond. http://www.c-mor.org/
Isabella enjoyed exploring all the toys and we had fun watching her.

Time to cut this post short and go outside to enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend!

Interesting Stuff

Mommy this is cold! Come pick me up.
I am ready to go inside NOW

And here is a few pics from around the yard...

Richmond was not prepared for the snow and we were quite surprised to get as much as we did. This is the first "real" snow since we have lived in Richmond. We enjoyed 7 inches of beautiful white fluffy snow. Isabella and I spent the day at home playing around the house. She was not a big fan of the snow, but she did like to munch on the snow.

Good times

This past weekend was soooo much fun! Our good friends Pat & Michelle came down to Richmond. We were finally able to introduce our children to each other. We all had a blast. Isabella and Addison are 3 months apart so it was cute to see how they interacted with each other.

Its hard to believe that we have not seen Pat & Michelle since November 2006. Yet when we were together this weekend it was as if no time has even passed. We were sad to see them leave and hope to get together again soon.
On a different note, Isabella has a new tooth coming in on the bottom which makes #9. She likes to play peek-a-boo and say Uh-oh. We finally realized that she calls Poca (our cat) Co-ca. Everyday is something new and we are all enjoying every moment we have with Isabella.
