As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Its Party Time!

This past weekend we had a party filled day! Sophia had 5 friends over for a Frozen 5th birthday party.  The party was full of crafts, games and cake! It was great weather and the perfect day to host a party outside.  The kids loved having all the room to run, play and explore.  Sophia chose the Frozen theme and wore her Halloween costume which is Anna from frozen.  I made the warm fleece cape as a surprise!  We played pin the nose on Olaf, decorated snowflakes, played in pretend snow, cracked the pinyata and enjoyed cupcakes. Sophia loved having her friends over to play.

After Sophia's fun filled Frozen fiesta we had a neighborhood kids Halloween party to attend. It was nice to catch up with our neighbors.

That evening Will and I attended an adult Halloween party and had a blast!  Will dressed at Mr. Mayhem and I was Flo from progressive insurance.  It was wonderful to see friends, neighbors and have a night out with my husband.

Isabella is having a great start to first grade.  I was able to spend time with Isabella and help the classroom fall enrichment. It was a treat to be part of Isabella's school day.

Isabella's participated in the Reflections program at school.   This years theme for all entries was "The world would be a better place if..."  Isabella entered two categories; visual art and literature.  She won first place in both categories for her grade!  Isabella was so excited and proud of her accomplishment. We felt the same!

I also found out through the grapevine that Isabella was on the morning announcements this week at school.  As part of SCA (student council) she demonstrated an exercise to stay healthy, running in place. Great job Isabella!

Pumpkins

Pumpkin patch time!  Monday was a holiday with no school so our Daisy Scout troop went to Hanover Vegetable farm.  We enjoyed the corn maze, live animals, moon bounce, hayride and pumpkin patch.  It was a great day to pick pumpkins with my little pumpkins (aka darling daughters).

Walking into Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year to be outside.  Last week we held our daisy meeting outside and enjoyed a walk in nature.  The girls collected lots of neat things on the walk.

Last week was also "walk to school day".  We walked as a family and met friends along the way.  It was only 7:40am and Isabella was amped with energy!

Speaking of school, Isabella was elected to be on SCA (student council) and for her campaign she said "I want to make the world a better place!" We are proud of our girls!

Running Around Town

We have been busy running around town and have had little chance to keep up with the blog.  To wrap up September , we did a SAG for the Marathon Training Team (MTT).  All coaches must do one SAG  (supply and gear- aka water stop) during training.  I had the two best helpers around...Eddie and Isabella.  My troopers were up and ready at 6am to refresh runners on their long run.  Isabella enjoyed getting a glimpse into my running world and I loved spending time with Eddie and Isabella.  Plus, they got a run in too!

We were spoiled by Grandmom and Poppop that weekend as we celebrated my birthday. We all enjoyed dinner out and a house full of groceries.  We are blessed!  Thank you for everything!

After a busy weekend the girls were tired and wanted a little tv time.  I love when I discover that TV time is also sister protect, snuggle and giggle time.

A Sweet Birthday

Last month we celebrated my 39th birthday.  Spending time with my family on my birthday was a treat.  Sophia and I enjoyed meeting Will for lunch at Panera.  Then we enjoyed a low key evening at home full of snuggles, pizza and cake!  The following day I ran 16 miles  feeling thankful for my health, family and friends.  Its good to be alive. My birthday was full of sweetness, love and joy.

Not only was my birthday a special one, but the girls went to see Frozen on Ice with Aunt Meredith and Uncle Sean.  Sophia said the show was AWESOME!  Plus, they were each able to pick a souvenir after the show.  Not only did the girls enjoy the show but they also enjoyed special time with their Aunt and Uncle.

Last but not least, Isabella does not like taking care of her long hair and has been asking for it to be cut short.  I love Isabella's long locks but do not like the tears it causes in the morning when she gets ready for school.  After trimming a bit off the bottom,  I was rewarded with a huge smile. I have found Isabella checking out her new hair cut in the mirror quite a bit.  She loves it!   After the hair cut we wrapped up the birthday weekend at the pool. I am very thankful for all the love and joy in my life.
