As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

BG in the Fall

Last week we went to Busch Gardens again.  We are getting a lot of use from our season pass.  Anyway, it was a treat to be at the park in cooler weather.  There were hardly any lines for the rides which was great!

Isabella is ready to go to "Sesame Street" with her milk and pumpkin "purse"
The first ride of the day Isabella and her friend Madelyn decided to fly!  They never figured out how to go higher in the air but they still had fun.
I love the expression on Isabella's face in the the photo below.
Clearly, the swings were a hit!

Giddy up!

Visiting the Sesame Street area is always the highlight of Isabella's trip to BG.  Elmo's spire was a pretty fun ride.  I am sitting near the middle with Isabella, Madelyn and Kelly to the right side.  Isabella smiled the entire time.  She is a brave little girl.

Hahaha!!!!

It was a fun day for all!

She scoots, she scores!

Sophia's preferred method of transportation is scooting along her bottom.  At this point she can do an army crawl but would prefer to be sitting up.  Its amazing how fast she can scoot around.  Enjoy the video!

Here are a few cute pics of Sophia and Isabella having fun together....

Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch

Fall is my favorite time of year and I have been looking forward to getting pumpkins with the girls.  This week our playgroup went to the Pumpkin Patch and everyone had a great time.  We took a hayride, picked pumpkins, played in the corn pit and had a picnic lunch.  Good times!

Isabella enjoyed the hayride.
Although she did find a pumpkin, Isabella was more interested in the dirt & mud

Isabella likes to run too....away from me!

Isabella enjoyed the corn pit.
Sophia enjoyed the corn pit too!
The fun with pumpkins does not end.  We still get to carve them and bake the seeds.  Yum!

National Zoo

We took a day trip to the National Zoo in DC last week.  I went to the DC zoo often as a child since I grew up near DC however I have not been there in a few years.  It was a treat to take my kids there.  We meet Eddie at the zoo and the girls LOVED spending time with their PopPop.

Sophia is ready to see the animals!
Sophia enjoyed checking out the bronze monkey. She even held his hand.
Lucy, the 37 year old orangutan, was laying against a window checking us out.  I was told by a tour guide that Lucys loves kids and babies. She laid against the window with her body very still and her eyes looking at all of us.  She was really cute!

The weather was great and actually pretty warm.  The round trip drive (6 hours total) was not so fun.  Despite being exhausted and pinching myself to stay awake on the return car ride, it was a fun filled day.

11 months old

Its hard to believe our little Sophia will be turning ONE soon!  These past 11 months have flown by and we have enjoyed every moment with our darling FiFi.    Our little pumpkin loves to explore everything.  She enjoys standing (assisted), playing with her sister, bouncing to music and trying lots of different foods.  Her favorite breakfast is pancakes.  She takes a sippy cup like a champ and has 12 teeth!!!  Sophia has the sweetest personality and loves to smile, giggle and snuggle.  She is a dream come true!

My little firefighters

Saturday we went to a Fire Safety Fun day at the park.  It was really neat!  First off, Isabella was thrilled there was a DJ and a bubble machine.  She had fun just dancing around.  But the day kept getting more fun.  Isabella & Sophia were able to get on a firetruck.  They even watched a helicopter land.  There was so much for the kids to do.  Isabella enjoyed the moon bounce and decorating her fire helmet with lots of pompoms.  She even got a pink cat painted on her belly.
Sophia took the sites in and looked so tiny next to all the big trucks.  My littlest firefighter did not mind wearing the fire hat.  What a cutie pie!

"Whee Mommy, I am driving a fire truck!"

Sophia found the perfect seat!

All this fun was FREE courtesy of Henrico County Fire Department.  Pretty sweet, huh.

State Fair

Our playgroup went to the State Fair last week and we all had a blast.  Isabella loved the animals, rides and food.  She even ate a jumbo corn dog all by herself.   Sophia took all the sights in and even went on her 1st ride which was a huge slide.
I really enjoyed seeing the huge pumpkins.  In the photo below is the 1st place pumpkin.
Isabella and her friend Kate enjoyed fair food such a corn dogs and cotton candy.  Yum!
Sweet Sophia goes with the flow and takes her nap in the stroller.  She was tuckered out after seeing all the animals.

Whee.  This slide ride was fun.  So much fun that Bella went on it about 6 times!

The girls were tired after a long day at the fair.
We had a great fair experience and were all exhausted after a day of fun!
