As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

White Christmas

Christmas was magical this year. We enjoyed seeing Christmas through our daughters eyes. My favorite gifts were Sophia's sweet smiles, Isabella's big hugs and spending quality time with Will!
Christmas eve started off with a bang. Poor Isabella banged up her knees falling on the driveway.
This was the 1st time she has ever needed a band-aid. So being a good mommy I gave her special Strawberry Shortcake bandages and lots of TLC. I hoped Isabella would retain a clean bill of health though the holiday weekend.
But poor Isabella did have a clumsy weekend. She feel down an entire flight of stairs on Christmas day which near made my heart fall out. She slipped on the top step and went tumbling down. Thank my lucky stars she had only a swollen knuckle and a bruised cheek. Thus, Will and I need to get carpet for our pretty wood stairs and maybe even another baby gate. Anything to keep my family safe and healthy.

A Christmas eve tradition for me has always been reading the "Night before Christmas" on Christmas eve before bed. I am sharing the same tradition with my girls.

A holiday tradition from Will's family was taking a photo at the top of the stairs before coming down on Christmas morning.

We celebrated Christmas with Will's family the day after Christmas. Isabella and Sophia looked adorable in their Christmas dresses.

Winter Wonderland

We had a wonderful weekend snowed in at home. We got around a foot of beautiful powdery snow, perfect for Isabella to play in. She had a blast outside with daddy. They made a mini snowman and tried to go sledding. So of coarse we had to complete the snow experience by serving Isabella hot chocolate with marshmallows while she thawed out from being outside.

Since Christmas is around the corner its the time to make gifts. Isabella painted a few things for gifts...including herself. Here is a photo at the start of the art session.
and the end. She had fun!
Then I enlisted Isabella to help decorate sugar cookies. Again she made quite a mess and seemed to enjoy putting the red sugar in her mouth rather than on the cookies.

Sophia enjoyed her 1st snow inside where it was nice and warm.
Sophia is 6 weeks old now. As if on cue, she gave us her 1st smile this week and even slept for 5 hours straight at night, which was great since I was also able to sleep that long too. She coos and loves to look around at everything.

Isabella is moving on up. No more bibs, she can go up and down the stairs on her own and she even drinks from a big girl cup! When I asked Isabella what she wanted for breakfast today she responded "ice...no chicken". Silly Bellerina.

Seasons Greetings

Boy was it hard to get a photo with 2 children and actually have it turn out good. I even tried my luck to get a nice family portrait of the four of us. So here are my attempts at some holiday shots.Isabella enjoying a cookie from her Aunt Megan

Daddy gave Sophia her 1st bottle last week and she did great. Sophie really goes with the flow. She sleeps great in her car seat if we need to run an errand...she can even sleep through her sisters high pitched squeals. Sophia enjoys her pacifier and loves to be held. She is a snuggle bunny.

Isabella still asks to hold Sophia every day. She likes to put Sophie's paci in and hold her hand. Isabella loves to point out all the words she knows and we are amazed at her vocabulary. She enjoys coloring, painting, play dough and her baby dolls.

Christmas is my favorite holiday. The stockings are hung, the tree glistens and we get to start our own family traditions. We hope our daughters grow up having a magical Christmas to remember.
