As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

August is Awesome

August is awesome! I have enjoyed this summer with my daughters and treasure all the memories we have made. The girls enjoying helping prepare meals, they played in a huge puddle in our street thanks to water line flushing. The tooth fairy made a visit to Sophia for her second tooth. We attended float night at the pool, ate Duck Donuts, picked out sister heart necklaces and had a sister sleepover. We ended the month with yard sale/lemonade/doughnut stand for Alzheimer's.   On top of all that awesomeness, we also went to the beach and the mountains (stay tuned for those posts soon).

Yorktown beach is one hour from Richmond and perfect for a day trip.  We all enjoyed warm sand, refreshing water and no sharks! We could have done without the jellyfish but it was a good day.

Lovin' the Pool Life

The pool has been a great outlet for our family this summer.  Swim team wrapped up with banquet  and awards ceremony. The girls were proud of their medals, especially Sophia!

Water Country

Last Ribbons of the season
Swim Team ended with a splash....at WATER COUNTRY!  We met the swim team at the pool to get the last ribbons of the season and also to caravan to Williamsburg.  Isabella was thrilled to receive a first place ribbon.
Water Country was SO MUCH FUN!  Isabella was concerned that there were not seat belts on the rides but once she rode one water slide she was hooked.  It was a blast for all. We were at the park from open to close.  It was a day of sunshine, thrills, laughter and good friends. In fact, it was so much fun that Sophia fell asleep while we were waiting for Isabella's last ride of the day.
