As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Smiles

Sophia is all smiles and that little dimple is just the cherry on top of her cuteness. She is 12 weeks old and has discovered her hands and that keeps her very entertained.
Now look at this inquisitive expression. That swing must really be interesting from her vantage point.

We are counting down till Isabella turns TWO! She is such a ham and that baby doll very rarely leaves her side. She has a few baby doll strollers that she loves and her new thing is to put them side by side with a baby in each. Guess she wants to be like Mommy and push a double stroller. Isabella is a sweet lil' mommy and loves to help give Sophia baths and cover her up.

After bath time silliness. She put on her robe that is from when she was an infant and it still fit. It barely covers her diaper but she thought it was fun.
Multi tasking...did she learn that from me? I assure you I don't talk on two phones while caring for my babies.
And finally I have carved out some time for myself to knit. Ahhh. With each stitch I can feel my self unwind and relax. I made Isabella this adorable elfin hat and she loves to wear it. Its a fun whimsical design and I am looking forward to making one for Sophia.
I am officially a stay at home mom and life has never been busier. But I have also never been happier. Even in college when I worked 20 hours a week, went to school full time, had an internship and lived on my own I was still not as busy as I am now. Being a mom to two kids under two has its challenges but also huge rewards. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity with my girls.

Busy little bees

We have been busy little bees and enjoying every minute of it! Here are my girls strapped in and ready to go. Sophia loves to nap in the stroller and Isabella enjoys the ride but most of all I enjoy the exercise. I have started going back to stroller strides again which is a great outlet for all of us. They even have a playgroup right after class.
Its hard to believe Isabella is turning 2 in less than a month. Time really does fly when you are having fun! Now if I could only invent a pause button....hmmm
Our toddler is giving Elmo the tour of our home via the ladybug
um, excuse me Mom, you are blocking the tour
Being a great tour guide she takes Elmo for a stroll.
Tummy Time is much better when your sister does it with you
Ah a sweet kiss from the big sister
Now Isabella is not always very gentle with Sophia but she does mean well. I caught Isabella climbing up into Sophia's moses basket while she was sleeping.
Isabella just wanted to help give her a paci. She adores her baby sister and even remarks at the top of her voice "I love you Sophia".
I wonder if we might have a red head??
Sophia's 2 month check up was last week. She was technically 10 weeks old. Guess who was the proud big sister...yup, Isabella. She even gave Sophia support while Sophia had to get 5 shots in her leg. I think Isabella was also very happy to get a lollipop and not need any shots.
So our sweet little Sophia is not so little anymore. She weighed in at 12 lbs and has grown 3 inches since she was born. That makes her a tad shy of 2 feet tall. Everything is on track and she is doing great.
Our 10 week old Snuggle Bear
My girls keep me very busy, every day is unique and I love it!

Sisters

I believe that one of the best gifts you can give your child is a sibling. Isabella lights up when Sophia smiles at her. Isabella loves to kiss, tickle and hold Sophia. Today, I looked down at them in the stroller and Isabella had reached over and was holding Sophia's leg. Bell looked like such a proud big sister. A calm little cucmber

Giddy up Cowgirl
Oh the many faces of Sophia. I was looking through photos from 2 weeks ago and really liked the progression of Sophie's unique expressions.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! 2009 was a great year for us. Isabella turned one, learned how to walk, talk and then became a big sister. Also, we welcomed a new addition to our family, sweet Sophia. I am sure 2010 will be a year full of wonderful memories. Here are a few to start the year off on the right foot....
My pretty little petunia at 8 weeks old
No smiles for the momarazzi but she still looked absolutely precious.
and our sweetheart, Isabella at 22 months old.
Isabella is a trip these days. She is downright funny and even has some great moves on the dancefloor.
New Years Eve was spent with old friends which was the perfect way to bring in the new year. It was wonderful to see old friends and great to watch our kids interact. Isabella and Addi had fun. In fact, Isabella cried when they drove off. We all had a blast!
Checking out baby Sophia
Isabella wants to play with Sophia and in the photo below Isabella found a way to interact with her sister to make her squeal. They were both very happy. Its hard to believe Sophia is already 8 weeks old. Time sure does fly by and we are enjoying every minute of it. She is such a delightful baby and fits perfectly in our family.
These days Sophia coos, squeals and smiles. Although not a big fan of tummy time she is working on holding her head up while laying down. I am there to cheer her on!!

Happy new year to all my blog readers. Wishing you a year of good health, happiness and prosperity.
