As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Afternoon Tea

Isabella and Sophia were excited to attend an authentic afternoon tea.  Even more so, they enjoyed selecting a fancy dress and accessories for the event.  Isabella's large hat and Sophia's satin white gloves were the perfect touch.  It was a really neat experience and made for a unique bridal shower.

In other happenings, the girls and I had a fun photo shoot for fathers day.  They thought it was silly that I was using eye liner on their feet!   These girls LOVE their Daddy and the cute photo reflects it!

The Case of the Missing Tooth

Last week while eating apple slices Isabella lost her tooth...literally lost it!  It had been loose for a while and was unknowingly swallowed with the apples.  Isabella was upset that she could not examine her tooth or leave it for the tooth fairy.  However, after explaining that the tooth fairy just needed a picture of the tooth under her pillow, Isabella was happy!

Isabella says her new smile looks like the letter Z where the teeth are missing!!

Sunny Days

Summer fun is in full gear in the Schaefer household.  The girls have so much fun exploring their own backyard.  Water play, swingset action, collecting bugs and playing in the garden are a few of their favorite things.  They even had worm races to see whose worm was the fastest.  However, the worms did not want to race in a straight line!  In addition to all this summer fun at home, we enjoyed another trip to visit Elmo at Busch Gardens.  The days seem longer, the sun is brighter and we are enjoying the fun that this season has to offer.

Running the Bases

I recently won tickets to a Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game.  It was a treat to see a game,  fireworks and have the girls run the bases.  Isabella watched the fireworks with excitement as each one exploded in sky.  On the other hand, Sophia snuggled close to Will for protection as she was scared of the fireworks. After the firework display, the field was open for kids to run the bases. Isabella, Sophia and Will darted around the field so fast!  It was a fun family night out.

Busy Bear Picnic

Isabella's class had their very own busy bear picnic the week after school ended.  Her teachers had lots of fun activities for all this kids plus a cute bear cake that was a hit!  It was a treat to catch up with classmates (and other Moms) before the summer starts.  As I watched my girls run around with their friends I was amazed at how much they have grown in the past few months.    Time sure does fly when you are having fun!
