As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Berry Farm

This week we enjoyed a trip to the Chesterfield Berry Farm with our playgroup. Since we went on a weekday it was like having the farm all to ourselves which was great! Not only did we pick a lot of strawberries but we also enjoyed a hayride, moon bounce, pig races, the shelled corn play area and a picnic lunch. It was a blast! Isabella had so much fun! She must have felt like a kid in a candy shop. Isabella picked a lot of berries...none of which made it in the basket since she was putting them right in her mouth.
She loved all the freedom to run around

Adorable, huh? It was cute to see them having a conversation.

The shelled corn play area was a hit. The corn was cool and felt neat to play in. It was also in a shaded area which made for a nice break from the heat.
And you ask what did I do with all those berries? Well, I whipped up my great grandmothers recipe for strawberry shortcake. Delicious!

Here are some videos from that day. Enjoy!
