As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Alpaca Farm

Ah the joys of being in a fun playgroup! We look forward to Wednesday to see our friends. This week we took a trip to check out an Alpaca Farm. It was fascinating to learn how the Alpaca's mate. Did you know that the way to tell a female is pregnant is that they spit at the male. Don't think that would go over to well in humans, huh. Anyway, the Alpaca fur is very soft. Isabella went right up to pet one as soon as we arrived.
The kids were allowed to run around with the Alpacas which was a neat treat.

The kids were all given tufts of Alpaca hair to play with.
and the Mommy's were given Felted soap made with Alpaca hair. The soap smells divine.
Sophia enjoys watching all the big kids run around
and it seems the big kids like her too since they all sat down near her....which made for a great group shot
The owner of the Alpaca farm had scrumptious yarn as well. My inner knitter yearned for a skein that was named after each animal. I did not get anything but I did enjoy perusing her yarn stash.

Sophia is finding her voice in the video below...Enjoy!
