As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Fall Harvest 1st Birthday!

Our sweet little Sophia just celebrated her 1st Birthday!!  We had a party with our playgroup and it was fun!  There were foam pumpkins for the kids to decorate, a mini pumpkin patch and pumpkin cupcakes of coarse!  Our little pumpkin Sophia wore a dress and a hat that I made for her to wear on her special day.  To start her birthday off we had a small photo shoot.  Sophia saved all her big smiles for Isabella.

Its my party and I can cry if I want to...

Sophia thoroughly enjoyed her cake.  At first she was taking little pieces of icing to nibble on but then she got the hang of it and went to town!  Isabella decided to follow in Sophia's footsteps...

After the party a very sugary Sophia was eager to take a nap. She popped her head up for a quick smile before dozing off to dreamland.
After nap time Sophia opened lots of wonderful presents.  Isabella was a big helper unwrapping the gifts for Sophia.  It was cute to see Sophia's reaction to each item. It was a wonderful 1st birthday!  To mark the occasion Sophia is now able to get into a sitting position from her tummy.  Yay Sophie.  We are so proud of you!

Sophia Austin

A year ago today our prayers were answered and our sweet daughter Sophia Austin was born. She was a dream come true and the perfect addition to our family.

Happy Birthday my dear child.  We love you so much.  xoxo

Basket Case

Isabella and Sophia sure do make me smile and laugh a lot.  Isabella requested a photo shoot in the laundry basket.  Now its not very often Isabella makes that request (probably because I am always snapping photos of my family) thus I felt obliged to set up the shoot.  Here are a few photos from the shoot.

Spending the day with my daughters is something I have always dreamed of being able to do.  Simple things like enjoying breakfast or lunch together are special to me.  I am very thankful for my husband to have this opportunity to stay home and enjoy these simplicities.  Here are a few photos from breakfast with my girls.  Notice Isabella's outfit has not one but 2 tu-tus under the dress.  A girl can never have enough dress up clothes.  She picked the entire outfit out and dressed herself.
Not only did Sophia enjoy her eggs but she discovered that they also made a great hair styling gel!
Everyday I count my blessing and my family is right at the top of the list, even if they can be a basket case.

Trick or Treat! You are so sweet!

Happy Halloween!
Halloween was so much fun this year!  We spent the day carving pumpkins which were princess themed per Isabella's request.  We also decorated foam pumpkins and baked ginger cookies.

My little pumpkins wearing the hats I knitted for them!
Sophia's 1st Halloween and she enjoyed all the festivities
Since it was not safe for the girls to carve pumpkins, I cut out a few pumpkin templates in foam that we could all decorate.

Our precious, Sophia was a cute ladybug.
Our darling Isabella was a cowgirl.  However, she told people that she was a "Cowboy-girl"  or a "Cowboy princess".  Too cute.
Our little Cowgirl enjoyed handing out candy to all the kids.  She would put a piece in their bags and then say "Thanks for coming" or "Go back to your Mommy".  It was cute to see her checking out all the kids.
We also went to a few houses to trick or treat.  Isabella was afraid of the decorations and a few costumes but she really got into saying Trick or Treat.  Sophia went to all the houses with Bell.  It was a great Halloween!

BG in the Fall

Last week we went to Busch Gardens again.  We are getting a lot of use from our season pass.  Anyway, it was a treat to be at the park in cooler weather.  There were hardly any lines for the rides which was great!

Isabella is ready to go to "Sesame Street" with her milk and pumpkin "purse"
The first ride of the day Isabella and her friend Madelyn decided to fly!  They never figured out how to go higher in the air but they still had fun.
I love the expression on Isabella's face in the the photo below.
Clearly, the swings were a hit!

Giddy up!
Isabella and I enjoying another ride together
Visiting the Sesame Street area is always the highlight of Isabella's trip to BG.  Elmo's spire was a pretty fun ride.  I am sitting near the middle with Isabella, Madelyn and Kelly to the right side.  Isabella smiled the entire time.  She is a brave little girl.

Isabella and her friends Liam, Cora and Madelyn.  Its so hard to get a group pic of kids at this age.  Notice everyone is looking in a different direction.

Hahaha!!!!

It was a fun day for all!
