As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Trip to the North Pole

Isabella has had a weekend full of Christmas merriment. The tree is trimmed, the house is looking festive and there is even a light dusting of snow on the lawn! Getting snow is pretty rare for Richmond so it was exciting. To top off the Christmas experience we had to make a trip to see Santa. He is a very popular jolly ol' man thus we endured an 80 minute wait for a picture with Santa. Immediately Isabella started crying...but that was pretty typical of the little ones. The photographer managed to get a semi-smile out of her (as seen in the photo above) which was in the midst of tears. Isabella was a trooper to say the least,
To warm my heart even more, Isabella started saying "mama" this weekend! It is not directed towards me but just the hear those words from my daughter is the best Christmas gift.
