As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

Feeling Hot Hot Hot

This was an action packed weekend to say the least!
Isabella and I enjoyed a trip to the park where we fed the geese and had a small picnic. Bell had fun playing with James & Molly at the park. What better way to cool off than to bust out the pool!

To complete our fun filled Saturday we played croquet with the Sherman's. We will just say that the ladies won...hehe :)

Sunday, another HOT day, we spent time with family in historic Fredericksburg, VA. Isabella really enjoyed her ice cream cone!
To top off a fun weekend here is a video of Miss Giggle Pants having a blast!

Spring has Sprung

Our yard has come to life now that Spring is finally here. We are delighted in all the new plants and trees blooming in our yard. Isabella even picked a flower for me! A flower for Mommy

Family Reunion

This past weekend we made the trek up to Maryland for Isabella's great grandfathers funeral. A somber event turned into a family reunion and a nice time with extended family. Saturday we enjoyed a nice party at my in-laws house. The weather was perfect to relish a night outdoors. Isabella had fun meeting everyone.

Then Sunday we enjoyed a family day at the Sugarloaf Vineyard. We enjoyed a tour and learned a lot about the winery. Here are a few photos from that day....

Happy Easter

I remember last Easter was when we saw Isabella's beautiful smile for the 1st time. Now this year Isabella was able to dye eggs and really get into the holiday spirit. Here are some photos of our fun holiday weekend:

Dying her hands...

and now dying the egg

Isabella did very well dying a yellow and then an orange egg. But she got a little too excited by the red one (seen below) and chucked it across the deck. She also really wanted to drink the vinegar colored liquid. Eww.

Then on Easter Sunday we had a nice holiday meal and Isabella wore a sweet little dress.

So sweet

Petting Zoo

This weekend was fun! It was absolutely beautiful outside which was the perfect backdrop for our weekend. A petting farm came to town and of coarse Isabella had to be there to experience the new sights and sounds. She really enjoyed watching the bunnies and even touched the small ponies. Actually, she was pretty freaked out by the horse who stuck his head through the bars and was right up to Isabella's face. She did NOT like that. Here are some pics from our trip to the petting zoo...

Celebrate Good Times C'mon

Things have been pretty busy in the Schaefer household as Isabella is always on the go. However, I will make up for lost time in this post to keep everyone in the loop. Here goes...
St. Pattys day Isabella had corned beef , irish soda bread and a shamrock headband to celebrate her Irish heritage. I think she had more fun taking the headband off, then on, then off...Last weekend Meredith came to visit. Isabella rocked a special hair style just for her Aunt. Isabella enjoys her new found skill of walking. She is a proud little peach.
This weekend we made a day trip to Maryland to celebrate my Mom & nephew Kelty's birthday. We ended up at the germ infested Chuck E Cheese. Since we were in Annapolis my friend Melanie was able to meet up with us. That was a huge treat since we have not seen each other since November 2007. Here a few photos to enjoy:

Whee, this is fun!

Portrait

For Will's birthday I commissioned a fantastic portrait artist Raissa http://www.myportraitsite.com/ to draw a picture from a photo of Isabella. This photo was taken in November of 2008 on Isabella's 1st Thanksgiving. We are so happy with the results and the service. I highly recommend getting drawings of your little ones done through her. Raissa was fantastic to work with and took care with each little detail. I know this piece of art will be treasured for a lifetime. The artist did a wonderful job capturing a special moment in time. I am very thankful for this drawing.
