As much as we are watching our children to see what they do with thier lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.

School Days

I enjoyed being able to chaperone Sophia's field trip to the Richmond Zoo.  She loved sharing her day with me as much as I enjoyed being there. It was a great day.

Field day fun at school.  The grades all competed in games.

On the last day of school we were armed and prepared to celebrate the last bus stop of the school year. The kids were squirted with water guns as they emerged from the bus plus cool popsicles were waiting for all.  Here comes summer fun!

Spring Break and Easter

Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring

Winter fell into Spring without much change in our weather.  Some of the spring activities were career dress up day (Sophia was a queen and Isabella was a rock star), a visit in Richmond from my Mom and stepdad, a new pet Nibbles the guinea pig, a visit to Maryland to see my family, Isabellas 4th grade school performance (she was a beaver), Girl Scout flag ceremony also at school, makeup artist gigs and spring school photos! Every season is a good season.

Winter Wonderland

We rang in the new year thankful for our health, family and friends.  2017 started off with a snow storm, lots of snow days and lots of family time.

My Dad, Stepmom and Sister Megan came to visit in January just in time to enjoy the snow.  Once the roads cleared up we visited Trump winery, the James Monroe house, Hollywood cemetery and the new foot bridge on the James river in Richmond.  The girls enjoyed watching Granddad play the guitar.  They also enjoyed learning to play Charades! Time with family is good for the soul.
