Isabella discovered Poca recently and its a good thing because our kitty was feeling left out. Bell likes touching the soft fur on her kitty. Poca was not to thrilled when Isabella started to yank on that soft fur. Ouch!

Pool Party

Another weekend full of fun. We had our friends, The Timmermans over for dinner on Saturday. The Mommy's and Daddy's enjoyed some tasty Sangria while the kiddos played in the pool.

Isabella enjoyed being in the pool with James and Molly. She was very interested in the twins fun.

Sleepy Head

Good morning sunshine!!

I love to watch Isabella sleep. She looks peaceful and precious. This morning she was sleeping soundly so we had to wake her up to get ready for "school". She was deep in slumber land so I made a photo documentary of her waking up. That 1st smile of the day is so sweet.

5 months old!!

Hooray Isabella is 5 months old today!!!! We are having fun weekend together. Yesterday we enjoyed some outdoor time at Stroller Strides and then we went to the park. Isabella was not too sure what to think of the swing at the park but she did look adorable in it (also I cant pass up a photo op). I read a few books to her and she likes to tell her own story on each page. Isabella loves to "talk" and look at books. Our lil buttercup is 5 months old!

Throughout history, art has depicted the bond between a mother and child. In college I discovered the art of Mary Cassat. "Maternal Caress" was on display in the Baltimore Museum of Art and I always loved the tender look of the mother and child. Today, as a mother, these painting bring warmth to my soul to see the embrace of the mother and child.

It seems there are a few things I did not learn in parenting 101.

Lesson #1: a teething baby = a tired mommy & daddy.

Lesson #2: little that can soothe her pain except LOTS of love

almost FIVE months!!!!

This Sunday Isabella will be 5 months old. Our buttercup has changed our lives and is such a joy & blessing. Looking back over the past 5 months it is amazing how quickly she has grown. It feels like she was born yesterday and in other ways it feels like our lives began the moment she was born. We cant imagine our lives without her.
