Easter Festivities

Spring is in the air...I think?  Well, at least it was on Saturday when we attended an Easter egg hunt.   We had a beautiful sunny day for the girls to gather sugar filled eggs with a few friends.  It was a treat being able to see the Easter bunny too!

We had beautiful weather for our Easter Egg hunt but would you believe the very next day it was snowing outside?!?  While a few inches of snow fell from the sky, Will and the girls dyed Easter Eggs.

It was a moment that only lasted a few seconds but caught my eye...it was the girls swinging side by side in our back yard on their very own swing set.  I glanced at Will and felt at this moment in time we were rich with happiness and love.  It was a fleeting moment but one that I will treasure. The joy in my daughters eyes warmed my heart.  There was a bit of prep that brought us to this special moment.  First we saved up for a LONG time to get a swing set.  Then my hard working husband spent 12 hours putting the swing set together piece by piece.  It was made with love.  I know we will treasure our swing set for years to come and look forward to my girls having fun in their own back yard..

Painted Chicks and a Fluffy Bunny

Easter is around the corner and the girls enjoy having lots of Easter egg hunts around the house. We made a few holiday crafts such as the painted chicks in the photos. Then the girls had Easter photos taken at school with a cute fluffy bunny! Spring is finally here and we are looking forward to warm sunny days to come!

The girls pre-school takes spring photos as a fundraiser.   The photos came out great and the girls loved being able to hold a soft fluffy bunny in their arms.

Today feels and looks like Spring outside, which is hard to believe since we just had snow on Monday!

Shamrockin' St. Paddys Day

I love Corned Beef so I look forward to St. Patrick's Day every year.  This year we set a trap for a Leprechaun the night before.  We did not catch the mischievous munchkin but he did turn a few things upside down in our kitchen.  The girls left their pot of gold rings under the trap to tempt the leprechaun.  They came down the next morning excited to check the trap and found a bag of chocolate gold coins waiting for them.  That silly mischievous leprechaun is hard to catch!  Sophia searched the house high and low trying to find him. Later in the morning my cousin Rob and his fiancee Regan stopped by for a visit.  It was a treat to spend time catching up with them and made for a nice holiday.

Snow & Spring

This past week was proof of the old saying that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.  On Wednesday we bundled up to enjoy 5 inches of  beautiful slushy snow. Then on Saturday we were in t-shirts enjoying 70 degree weather!   March is the only month we can make a snowman and then 3 days later pick flowers.  It made for a fun week outdoors.

March is here!

We love to have fun as a family!  The girls have lots of energy to spare thus we have taken them on a few bike rides around our neighborhood.    Isabella and Sophia are learning the rules of the road and feel like big girls riding in the street (with Mommy next to them).  This past weekend Will took Isabella to Home Depot for a kids project.  She made a rainbow race car with Daddy and enjoyed her special time with him.  The girls also enjoyed special time with their grandparents.  Grandmere and Poppy stopped by on their way back from Florida.  The girls were so excited to see them and were talking non-stop.  Grandmere and Poppy gave the girls beach mats which they rolled out right away.  In fact, the girls slept on them that night.  We set up the tents over the mats so they could "camp out" under the stars in the comfort of their rooms!  Enjoy the family fun photos!
