Carving out time for Sisters

In our busy lives it is often hard to make time to see everyone that we love. So when an opportunity arises to be together it is a blessing. My sister and her fiancee Pezh came for a quick visit this weekend. It was so wonderful to spend time together! The nice thing about family is that no matter how long it has been, we always resume as if no time has passed since our last visit. I hope my daughters value their love for each other as they grow up. Having sisters is a wonderful thing!

Today we carved pumpkins and the girls opted for scary pumpkins over princess pumpkins. Isabella enjoyed cleaning out the gooey insides of the pumpkin. She thought the seeds would be perfect to feed the squirrels. Sophia on the other hand did clean a little bit out of her pumpkin but was not a fan of the icky insides. Since we are hunkered down awaiting Hurricane Sandy the pumpkins might provide us extra light should we lose our electricity in the storm!

I am proud to announce that Isabella can not only recognize her name but now she is also able to write it on her own! Way to go Isabella!!! We are so proud of you!! Isabella loves school and discovering new things every day!

Pumpkin Fun Day

I love the sights, sounds and smells that Fall brings. From the amber color of the maple leaves turning to the feel of a brisk fall day, this season is a delight to me! Thankfully my family feels the same way. We were able to relish in natures beauty this weekend during our trip to the pumpkin patch. The girls loved everything that the farm had to offer. They climbed the hay stacks, bounced off energy in the bouncy house, bumped along in a hay ride, slithered in the corn pit, rode a tractor train, and picked the perfect pumpkin! We all enjoyed a lovely fall day at Chesterfield Berry Farm.

Big Bird and a Big Anniversary

Friday was not only our 10 year anniversary but it was also our last trip to Busch Gardens for the season. It was a great day to play and the girls had so much fun with their friends. I had fun too! Sophia was scared on a few rides and preferred to watch her big sister instead. Isabella went on the adults swings for the first time and loved it! By the end of the ride she had her hands up in the air like a true park enthusiast! Sophia was eager to say Hi to Elmo but alas only Big Bird was available. Sophia's excitement turned to fear once we were within a foot of Big Bird. Sophia preferred to watch him from afar while her big sister said hello. This trip was the first time that all of the kids were able to actually move the bumper cars around! Our children are growing up so fast and its great they have friends to make memories with through the years.

Happy 10 year anniversary!

Its been a beautiful 10 years leading up to this day!

The evening of our anniversary was a treat not only for Will and I who enjoyed a romantic evening out, but also for the girls who had lots of fun with playing with the babysitter. We feel very blessed with love, family and friends.

Playgroup at the Pumpkin Patch

Our playgroup went to the pumpkin patch this past week. Isabella was in preschool so Sophia and I were enjoyed the fun adventure together. Miss Sophia was afraid to get on the hay ride since it was "scary" however she finally got on and snuggled close to me for the bumpy ride. Sophia found her favorite pumpkin and also enjoyed playing with friends. It was the perfect fall day!
